Submission of proposal for foundation
of ANF
During the 9th Child Health
Conference of Union of Arab Pediatric
Societies, Professor Mohamed R
Bassiouny has submitted a proposal
for ANF to the leading committee
of Union of Arab Pediatric Societies
and approved.

Foundation of ANF
A
group of Arab neonatologists from
some Arabic countries have met
in the United Arab Emirates and
in the honor of the Emirates Medical
Society where the Arab Neonatology
Forum was founded and its Bylaw
has been set, and approved by
the board of Union of Arab Pediatric
Societies.
Objectives
of ANF
- To strengthen communication
and cooperation between all
Arab pediatricians interested
or specialized in the field
of neonatology in Arab region,
share experience and efforts
and improve neonatal care medically
and socially in favor of the
progress of Arab child.
- To supply the Arab children
with studies, researches and
information related to neonatology
in Arab countries.
- To work on unifying curriculum
of training, teaching and specialization
in neonatology in Arab Faculties
of medicine.
- To work with the Arab medical
schools, Medical Specialty Board
Sponsors and relevant institutions
for preparing a higher specialty
degree in neonatology after
the general pediatrics degree.
- To strengthen the communication
between Arab neonatologists
living in non Arabian countries
to preserve their Arabian belonging
and to benefit from their experience
for the sake of Arab neonatologists
and children.
Ways to
accomplish the objectives
- Arranging for regular neonatology
conference.
- Arranging for Arab neonatologist
meetings including scientific
lectures and courses after specializing
in neonatology in Arab countries
- Joining the Neonatology International
Association and the Union of
Neonatologists societies in
the middle east and Mediterranean
area.
- Cooperation with the World
Health Organization and UNICEF
or any other organization with
similar activities of ANF.
- Encouraging the establishment
of national neonatal societies
in Arab countries that do not
have them yet.
- Having a web site introducing
ANF, its objectives and including
a directory of the Arab neonatologists
all over the world.
- Publishing a neonatology
journal.
